I can’t believe the 4th of July is almost here… Where is the year going?? Inspired by all of the cutesy 4th of July snacks and desserts I’ve seen floating around the internet, I decided to create my own patriotic snack for Audrey to enjoy. It may not be the fanciest 4th of July treat you’ll see on pinterest or the like, but it’s easy, it’s delicious, and it’s healthy. With all-natural, no dye needed pantry ingredients, this is a snack you can feel good about serving any time of year using any shape cookie cutter you like. And unlike a lot of the ideas out there that require a lot of time and work, this one is easy enough for your little ones to join in the fun and help you decorate.
- Whole-grain, whole-wheat or gluten-free bread of choice, toasted
- Cream cheese (I prefer whipped)
- Using a star shaped cookie cutter, cut shapes out of toast. Spread with cream cheese, top with berries, and drizzle with honey.
Enjoy and Happy 4th!
